Sherlyn Chopra accuses Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty of mental harassment, files complaint

Actress Sherlyn Chopra on October 14 filed a complaint against businessman Raj Kundra and his wife Shilpa Shetty for allegedly committing fraud against her and mental harassment.

Chopra has accused Kundra of sexual harassment, cheating and criminal intimidation. "I've filed a complaint to register FIR against Raj Kundra for sexual harassment, cheating & criminal intimidation," ANI quoted Chopra has saying.



The actress had called media for a press conference on October 14, claiming she had some shocking facts to unveil against Kundra and Shetty. Calling the media conference, Kundra and Shetty had warned Chopra of defamation suit and criminal proceedings if she made any alleged statements against them.

"The due process of law must be followed for the alleged statement that Miss Chopra wants to make. Calling for a press conference to do this reflects a strong intention to commit an offence of defamation. Anything spoken by Miss Chopra in the public domain shall be held against her in the court of Law. She shall be liable for civil and criminal proceedings before competent courts," the couple's lawyers said in a statement.

Kundra on September 21 walked out of Mumbai's Arthur Road jail, a day after a magistrate court granted bail to him in a pornographic films case in which he was arrested two months ago.

The 46-year-old businessman was lodged in the jail in central Mumbai under judicial custody. Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai police's crime branch after being booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Information Technology Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.

The 1500-page charge sheet filed by the Mumbai Police contains the statements of 43 witnesses including Shetty, Chopra, Sejal Shah and many models and employees of Kundra's company. The charge sheet also includes the names of two wanted accused.

Chopra in July had said that she was the first person to give a statement to the investigating team of the Maharashtra Police Cyber Cell in Kundra's case.
