Shilpa Shetty talks about 'recovering from difficult times' as husband Raj Kundra returns home after two months in jail

Shilpa Shetty has been staying strong ever since her husband Raj Kundra was arrested in a porn films case. As Kundra walked out of Author Jail in Mumbai earlier this week, Shetty took to her official Instagram account to talk about "recovering" from the bad times.

The actress, who has been keeping a brave face in the midst of the controversy, shared the thoughtful message with her fans on Instagram Story.

"Suffering isn't ennobling, recovery is," Shetty shared the quote by Christiaan Barnard. The actress posted a picture of the book she is currently reading, which says, "Difficult times don't make us better, working through difficult times does," adding, "Suffering can force us to draw on strengths we never knew we had. Discovering these hidden strengths can then help us cope should difficult times come again."


A Mumbai court on Monday granted bail to businessman Raj Kundra in a pornography films case after spending two months in jail. The NRI businessman, who was arrested on July 19, was granted bail on a surety of Rs 50,000.

"I hate bad times as much as anyone does, but I know I'm strong enough to get through them and recover from them," the quote in the picture shared by the actress further said.

The court has also granted bail to Raj's associate Ryan Thorpe. He will also have to furnish a surety of Rs 50,000.

A 1500-page supplementary charge sheet was submitted by the Property Cell of Mumbai Crime Branch before Esplanade Court in connection with the porn films case against Raj.

Meanwhile, on the work front, after taking a brief hiatus following her husband's arrest, Shilpa is once again busy judging the dance reality show 'Super Dancer 4', alongside Geeta Kapur and Anurag Basu. On the film front, Shetty was recently seen in Priyadarshan's 'Hungama 2'.
