How Aishwarya Mohanraj lost 20 kg in 6 monts
On Friday (February 6), Aishwarya finally spoke up about the rumours that people were talking about her transformation. She made it very clear that her weight loss did not happen because of any exercises or crash diets. Aishwarya explained that she had problems with her weight going up and down for years. This was because of health issues like PCOD and hypothyroidism that run in her family. These health issues make it really hard for her to manage her weight. Even though Aishwarya was very active and careful about her lifestyle, she still found it tough to get results, with her weight. Aishwarya and her weight loss were a talking point, and she wanted to set the record straight about her weight loss and the struggles she faced with PCOD and hypothyroidism.
Aishwarya talked about how she used to weigh around 51 kg in 2021. In just six months, her weight went up to almost 70 kg. This is what happened to her, even though she did things like exercise every day, eat healthy food, drink lots of water and walk 10,000 steps each day. The doctors later found out that she had PCOD and hypothyroidism. This helped explain why her body was not doing what she thought it would do.
She talked about how tough this time was for her. Aishwarya said she was diagnosed with clinical depression. This really affected her self-confidence. She started worrying a lot about how she looked. Aishwarya stopped making videos for a while because she did not like seeing herself on camera.
Aishwarya wanted to feel better, so she started working on her fitness in January 2025. She got a trainer to help her. She also talked to a person who knows about food and what to eat. Aishwarya did what they told her to do. She was very strict about it. After some time, her body started to look a little different. The scale did not show much change.
Then things got really tough for Aishwarya when she got plantar fasciitis and high uric acid levels. This made her feet hurt a lot. The doctors told Aishwarya to stop working out for a while. When Aishwarya stopped working out, she did not make progress like she used to. This made her feel even more frustrated.
Her journey took a turning point when she was prescribed Mounjaro, a medication commonly used to manage blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes and also prescribed for chronic weight management. Aishwarya shared that after her first injection, she noticed a drop of about one kilogram within a week. Over the next month, she lost around four kilograms.
Speaking about the results, Aishwarya said in her video that she took the medication weekly for six months, during which her weight dropped from 74 kg to 52 kg. However, she did not shy away from discussing the downsides. She mentioned experiencing intense nausea during the initial phase, noticeable hair loss and the financial burden of the treatment, calling it extremely expensive.
Reacting to the pressure to lose weight “naturally,” Aishwarya acknowledged that while natural methods are often ideal, they don’t work the same way for everybody. She urged people to stop comparing journeys and to ignore online judgment. Her key advice to viewers was simple and responsible: consult a qualified doctor, seek the right help and choose what works best for your health.
Expert view on Mounjaro
Moreover, the National Library of Medicine report says that Mounjaro affects how our bodies use energy. Mounjaro helps our bodies regulate energy balance. If people stop taking Mounjaro after a months they will probably gain weight again.. People who keep taking Mounjaro with a doctor's help are more likely to keep the weight off for a long time. Mild side effects of Mounjaro can include digestive discomfort like nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhoea, a slight increase in heart rate, and injection-site reactions such as pain or skin discolouration. Doctors generally note that some of these effects may reduce over time, but medical guidance is essential. Stay tuned!
