Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya play the lead roles in the romantic drama, directed by Ravi Namburi and backed by producers Sai Rajesh and SKN. From management graduate to rising actress

Before stepping into films, Sri Gouri Priya completed her Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) from St. Francis College for Women in Begumpet, Hyderabad.


Her journey into the entertainment industry did not begin with acting. In an interview with South First, Sri Gouri revealed that she had been learning classical music since the age of six. She participated in several television singing competitions and state-level cultural events during her growing years.



The actress also shared that she won the Miss Hyderabad beauty pageant in 2018, after which she decided to pursue a career in films.

Looking back at her journey, Sri Gouri said that her background in singing helped shape her as a performer. According to her, the confidence and stage experience she gained through music have been valuable in her acting career as well.

Rise in Telugu and Tamil cinema

Sri Gouri Priya made her acting debut with Mail in 2021. Over the next few years, she steadily built her career by choosing a mix of Telugu and Tamil projects.

She received appreciation for her performance in Amazon Prime Video's anthology Modern Love Chennai in 2023 before gaining wider recognition with the Telugu youth entertainer MAD in the same year.

Her biggest breakthrough came with the Tamil romantic drama Lover in 2024. Playing the role of Divya, Sri Gouri impressed both audiences and critics, earning the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Female for her performance.



She later returned as Shruti in MAD Square and also appeared in the multilingual family comedy Happy Raj.
