Shabana Azmi documenting her journey in memoir, but says it's too early to talk about it
The actor joins the ever-expanding list of film personalities who are turning authors with their life stories.

A winner of five National awards, Azmi was honoured with Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honour of the country, in 1988.
MUMBAI: Veteran actor Shabana Azmi on Thursday revealed that she is working on her memoir.
She joins the ever-expanding list of film personalities to pen down the most important moments of their lives and career in a book.
"I am writing my memoir but it is too early to talk about it," Azmi told PTI.
The actor was born to poet Kaifi Azmi and stage actor Shaukat Azmi in 1950 in Hyderabad.
An alumna of Pune's Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Azmi has acted in films such as 'Ankur', 'Arth', 'Khandhar', 'Paar', 'Godmother', 'Mandi', 'Masoom', 'Fire' and 'Water'.

She is married to poet and screenwriter Javed Akhtar.
On the work front, the 69-year-old actor will be seen in 'Sheer Qorma' and the web-series 'Halo', to be produced by Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment.

This was one autobiography face-off. When the award-winning author published his memoir, ‘Joseph Anton’, in 2012, Padma Lakshmi featured in several of its pages, and not in a flattering light.
From calling her “ambitious in a way that often obliterated feeling” and referring to her “majestic narcissism”, the book, obviously did not sit well with the model-turned-Top Chef host. In 2016, she served up quite a dish about Rushdie in her own memoir, ‘Love, Loss, and What We Ate’. In it, she recalled her years with the author as “a once beautiful meal that ultimately left her with mood poisoning”. She wrote that he once denounced her as a ‘bad investment’ after she rejected his sexual advances.

The singer’s ex-wife Andrea launched legal action against Collins, claiming that he had “seriously damaged” her reputation when publishing his autobiography, ‘Not Dead Yet’, last year.
Andrea said that it had caused her “considerable distress”.
