Throwback Thursday: Scentido boss takes a look back at his most-memorable trip to the Canadian Rockies
Shishir Mehta counts this trip as one he’d love to repeat over and over.

Scentido founder Shishir Mehta is a man of simple choices but when it comes to fragrances, the founder loves traipsing through the globe for the rarest perfumes that would appeal to the global Indian consumer. It was through his extensive travels that niche perfumery Scentido was born.
“I developed a collection of elusive scents from many years of travelling and wanted to share them with the world. Scentido is the result of that passion,” said the fragrance aficionado at the store launch last year.
Among all his travels however, the trip that stands out the most in Mehta’s memory is a family trip to the Canadian Rockies eight years ago. He counts it as one trip he’d love to repeat over and over. “The picturesque view got to me like no other vista has! It’s a place where you can go again and again and find a different beauty in it each time.”
“We drove for almost 8 days in the Canadian Rockies while marvelling at the untouched beauty,” recalled Mehta. “The most cherished memory that I have from the trip is the helicopter ride through the glaciers. Such a stunning landscape! The sheer magnitude of the ranges that go on for miles and miles was shocking, awe inspiring and so humbling.”
Cherry Season
“I am planning to travel in March since it’s 'Cherry Blossom' season. My tickets are booked, bags will be packed and I will be off to experience the magical beauty of the beautiful flowers.”
