Samsung launches Galaxy S5 Mini on Flipkart for Rs 26,499

NEW DELHI: Bangalore-based e-retailer Flipkart has signed a deal with Samsung to exclusively sell the South Korean handset major's Galaxy S5 Mini device in India.

The Galaxy S5 Mini will be available in India from September 10 at a price of Rs 26,499, and will be available in four colours— charcoal black, shimmery white, electric blue and copper gold, Flipkart said in a joint statement Wednesday.

Equipped with Android 4.4 Kit Kat OS and Samsung’s TouchWiz UX, Galaxy S5 Mini features a spectacular 11.3-cm HD Super AMOLED screen, and is powered by a quad core 1.4GHz processor and comes with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB ROM.

Recently Motorola made re-entry into Indian market exclusively through e-commerce company Flipkart. The devices company had reportedly sold 1 million smartphones that include Moto E, Moto G and Moto X through Flipkart’s distribution network.

With a surge in e-commerce in India, mobile device makers such as Spice and Xiaomi have also recently tied up with Flipkart to leverage the latter’s retail distribution network.
