Sambhavam Adhyayam Onnu OTT release date confirmed: When and where to watch the Malayalam time-loop thriller online

After a modest but talked-about run in theatres, Sambhavam Adhyayam Onnu is now heading to OTT. The Malayalam mystery thriller, which opened in cinemas on March 6, is set for its digital premiere on April 15, timed with the Vishu festival. The film will be available for streaming on JioHotstar, giving it a wider reach beyond its original theatrical audience.

When and where to watch the film

The makers have locked April 15, 2026, as the official OTT release date. From that day, viewers can watch the film on JioHotstar. It will not be limited to Malayalam alone. The film is also expected to stream in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi, making it accessible to a broader set of viewers across regions.

This move comes after the film managed to draw attention during its theatrical run, especially considering it was made on a relatively small budget but still went on to collect over Rs. 6 crore, as reported by media sources.

A story set in a mysterious forest

Directed by Jithu Satheesan Mangalathu, the film leans heavily into mystery with a mix of fantasy and horror elements. The story is set around a forest region near the Kerala–Tamil Nadu border. Locals in the film speak about a strange zone inside the forest where people who enter are said to never come back.


As the narrative moves forward, a group of characters find themselves pulled into this space. What begins as an investigation slowly turns into something more complicated, with unexplained events and a time-loop-like situation forming the core of the story.

There is also a thread involving a police station located near the forest, where certain incidents push the characters to step into this unknown area. From there, things begin to unfold in ways that are not easy to explain, keeping the tension steady.

Cast and performances

The film is led by Askar Ali, with key roles played by Vineeth Kumar, Sidharth Bharathan, Assim Jamal, Senthil Krishna, Neethu Krishna, Gouri Vineeth and others. The ensemble cast supports the central narrative, which relies more on atmosphere and unfolding events than on a single character-driven arc.

On the technical side, cinematography is handled by Naveen Najose, while editing is done by Arjun Prakash. The music and background score come from Godwin Thomas, adding to the film’s tense setting. The project is produced by Faras Mohamed, Fahad Sidheekh, and Fayez Mohammed under the banner of Nallacinema Productions.
