From acting to film production: Maa Inti Bangaaram crosses Rs 100 crore
Maa Inti Bangaaram marks an important step in Samantha’s career as a producer. The film reportedly crossed Rs 100 crore worldwide. Its performance also adds to the conversation around female-led projects and the opportunities available to women working behind the camera in Telugu cinema.Reacting to the milestones, Samantha said, "It feels incredibly rewarding to see two very different journeys reach such meaningful milestones. Maa Inti Bangaaram is a project that holds a special place in my heart, while Secret Alchemist has been a journey of building something from the ground up with a team that believes deeply in the vision. I’m grateful for the love, trust and support that have brought us here. These milestones encourage me to keep pushing boundaries and creating work that resonates with people."
For Samantha, the move into production represents a way to participate in the industry beyond performing on screen. It also places her in a role that involves backing a project and helping take it to audiences.
Secret Alchemist reports Rs 120 crore revenue and eightfold growth
Samantha’s business interests also extend to the fragrance and wellness market. Secret Alchemist, which she co-founded with Ankita Thadani and Akash Valia, has reportedly crossed Rs 120 crore in revenue. According to the press released shared about the company, the brand recorded eightfold growth over eight months.
The venture focuses on fragrances and products associated with clean formulations and Indian botanicals.
However, revenue figures alone do not establish a company’s profitability. The reported Rs 120 crore milestone indicates the scale of the business, but details such as profit, operating costs and the founders’ individual financial returns have not been provided.
Samantha has previously spoken about wanting her work and investments to serve a purpose beyond personal success.
Samantha on authenticity, ambition and finding purpose
In a session, Authenticity: The New Fame, at the NDTV World Summit 2025, Samantha spoke about how she has learnt about authenticity through experience. Authenticity doesn’t mean having all the pieces of life figured out, she explained. It’s about seeing the mistakes and continuing to learn.Samantha said that ambition needs to be connected to a larger purpose rather than driven only by fame or validation. Looking at her own journey, she shared, "It is a struggle. I had nothing; I came from a humble background. My family struggled to put food on the table. There was name, fame, wealth, applause - I didn't know what to do with it. Authenticity is the sum of your upbringing. If you're not in balance with that upbringing, it can put you in a lot of turmoil."
She has encouraged young people to choose their mentors carefully, drawing on the guidance and perspectives that have influenced her own outlook. Her philosophy, as she has described it, connects professional ambition with responsibility and impact.
Meanwhile, on the personal front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has officially confirmed that she is expecting her first child with filmmaker husband Raj Nidimoru. The baby is due in Decembe.
