Samantha Prabhu says 'personal attacks' after separation from Chaitanya have been relentless, addresses rumours of cheating

South stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya's split has left their fans heartbroken, and the rumour mills buzzing.

The couple, who had announced their decision to go their own ways in a joint statement last week, have been in the spotlight ever since.

And while the former couple had chosen to stay silent on the rumours up till now, the 'Family Man' actress, on Friday, slammed people for the "relentless personal attacks."


In a statement posted on social media, the 34-year-old actress addressed the rumours, saying, ""They say I had affairs, never wanted children, that I am an opportunist and now that I have had abortions. A divorce in itself is an extremely painful process. Let alone allowing me the time to heal. This attack on me personally, has been relentless."

She went on to add that she would not allow this or anything else to break her.

Prabhu also thanked the section of fans and loved ones who were defending her against false rumours and stories that are being spread.


Actress Rakul Preet Singh replied to Parbhu's post with a heart emoji.


Earlier on Friday morning, the actress had also shared a quote by author Farida D on her Instagram Story.

The quote read: "If matters are constantly, morally questionable when done by women, but not even morally questioned when done by men - then we, as a society, fundamentally have no morals."

Prabhu accompanied it with a simple "Good Morning" message.

The couple had tied the knot in October 2017. In the statement announcing their split, the duo said they have decided to "part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths".
