Salman Khan verdict: Celebrities react stongly on Twitter

MUMBAI: However catastrophic an event, Twitter never fails to disappoint with its deluge of all sorts of bite-sized eccentricity. The highlights were tweets from Farah Khan Ali (daughter of Sanjay Khan, sister of actor Zayed Khan, and a jewellery designer; not to be confused with the director Farah Khan) and singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya. Khan blamed the government for not having solved the problem of housing the homeless.

And the once popular singer claimed that it was the homeless’ fault to have slept on the footpath in the first place. In no time, both the users had fetched 800 plus RTs and a new phrase was coined to explain their behaviour: Bhaitards. Soon after, tweeters were speculating if Farah Khan Ali had mastered the art of tweeting while asleep. There were even a few cynical tweets that expected the deceased to be accused of the crime of sleeping on a footpath. Of course, there were also a few jibes about Salman and Sanju baba clinking glasses tonight. Jail Chal Mere Bhai, anyone?
