Actress Sai Pallavi has a simple set of expectations when it comes to her future life partner. The actor, who will be seen as Goddess Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film Ramayana, recently appeared on Kaun Banega Crorepati 18 with her co-stars Ranbir Kapoor and Ravi Dubey. During the episode, host Amitabh Bachchan asked her about the qualities she would like to see in the man she chooses as her life partner.

Sai explained that she does not have a long list of demands. Instead, she values qualities such as kindness, self-awareness and the ability to take responsibility for one's actions. She also added a practical expectation to her list: she would prefer someone who knows how to cook.

What qualities does Sai Pallavi want in her future husband?

Responding to Amitabh Bachchan’s question, Sai said that being a good human being should be the first priority. She began by saying, "Pehle achche insaan hone chahiye,” (Firstly he should be a good man), which means that the person should be a good human being above everything else.

The actor also said, "He should be someone who is introspective. One who checks on his actions. So someone who has some insight about where he is in life… he can make mistakes but he must mend it too. It should not be that he is blaming it on someone else. It is not that there is a huge list but he should be a good person and it would be better if he also knows how to cook!"

Her answer placed greater emphasis on character and accountability than on a long checklist of expectations. While she spoke about five qualities she values, she made it clear that being a good person remains the most important of them all.

Sai Pallavi on playing Goddess Sita in Ramayana

During the episode, Sai also spoke about playing Goddess Sita in Ramayana and how the experience changed her approach to the role.

The actor explained that she usually thinks about what she can contribute to a character whenever she takes up a new project. However, playing Sita led her to look at the experience from a different perspective. Instead of focusing only on what she could bring to the role, she began wondering what she could learn from it.

Sai said, "This time, I did not want to use my mind too much. But then I thought, whenever I play a character, I usually think about what I can do for that character. But for the first time, while playing the role of Sita Maa, I found myself wondering, ‘What will I receive from this experience? What knowledge will I gain? What will I take away from it?"

The film is among the most anticipated Indian projects, with Sai sharing screen space with Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Rama.
