Rotis, salads, curries: Anupam Kher, Rishi & Neetu Kapoor enjoy Indian food in New York

The 'Hum Tum' actor has been undergoing treatment in New York since last year.

A drawback of being overseas is low access to staple Indian food. Actor Rishi Kapoor and his wife Neetu, who have been in New York for a year now for the former's treatment, seemed to be experiencing the same. However, actor Anupam Kher, who is in New York for the shooting of TV series 'New Amsterdam', invited the star couple over for Indian food.

The 'Accidental Prime Minister' actor took to Instagram to share a picture with his Bollywood buddies. He captioned the picture, "Guess who came for lunch? I was delighted to have @neetu54 #RishiKapoor along with Santosh at my house for lunch. As Neetu ji rightfully commented that we never thought we will meet like this at my place in NY. But then don’t I always say #KuchBhiHoSaktaHai. Dattu was over the moon to specially cook for them."




The '102 Not Out' actor also took to Twitter to share a still from the lunch date. He was seen posing with 'well-cooked' wheat chapatti which the actor seemed to have missed dearly throughout his stay in New York. The trio seemed to be enjoying an Indian meal at Kher's New York home.



The 'Hum Tum' actor has been undergoing treatment in New York since last year. In April, his brother Randhir Kapoor said that the actor will be back in a few months. Reports also surfaced that the actor is now 'cancer free'.
