Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G with 200MP camera, Dimensity 1080 SoC to arrive in India on Jan 5
The Redmi Note 12 line-up features three smartphones.

Ahead of the launch, Redmi has unveiled a teaser of the forthcoming series. The Redmi Note 12 5G series has been dubbed as ‘Supernote’ by the brand. In its latest post on Twitter, Redmi India stated that the Redmi 12 Pro+ will feature the greatest-ever resolution on a smartphone camera. “This 200MP camera on the SuperNote is the only camera you’ll ever need,” the company wrote in its post.
The teaser shows a triple-rear camera module headlined by a 200MP camera. Ahead of the launch, Redmi has also started sending media invites for the launch. The Chinese smartphone maker has also created a dedicated landing page on its website for India. Interested consumers can click on the ‘Notify Me’ icon to get updates about the launch.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G was launched in China at a starting price of CNY 2,099 (about Rs 23,000) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The device which runs on MIUI 13 comes with a 6.67-inch full-HD OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is backed by the octa-core 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC.
It features a triple-rear camera with a 200MP primary camera that has Optical Image Stabilisation, an 8MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 2MP macro lens. The device also features a 16MP selfie camera. Redmi Note 12 Pro+ comes with a 5,000mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging.
