Realme X2 takes about 55 minutes to charge up fully with the 30 watt charger.
Realme X2 Get it for: Rs 16,999 onwards Highlight: Battery life
Launching a ‘lite’ version of a flagship phone isn’t a new trend. The Realme X2 is thus a pared-down version of the more advanced X2 Pro, which was recently launched.
Two key features of the phone are a 64 MP quad rear camera and a Snapdragon 730 G processor.
The X2 is lightweight, weighing 182 gm. The grip is not slippery. The back is shiny, made of plastic.
The phone has a 6.4-inch dewdrop screen with 2340 x 1080 pixel resolution and a 91.9% screen-to-body ratio on the front, a 64 MP quad-camera setup at the rear, a power button on the right edge and a dual SIM tray and volume buttons on the left.
The bottom edge carries speaker vents, a Type-C charging port, a primary microphone and a 3.5 mm headphone jack while a secondary microphone is situated on the top.

The X2 takes about 55 minutes to charge up fully with the 30 watt charger that comes along.
However, we found the smartphone’s brightness to be insufficient under bright sunlight, even at maximum level. Its automatic brightness feature though worked properly. The phone also has a Night Shield setting to lower blue light emission.
The ColorOS 6-based user interface is easy to navigate. Its fingerprint recognition and face unlock features worked promptly, taking about 2 seconds to unlock the phone.

The ColorOS 6-based user interface is easy to navigate. It comes preinstalled with some bloatware that can be uninstalled.
The rear 64MP quad-camera setup gives sharp and detailed shots in the day with minimal grain. However, as the day turns into night, grains creep in and the colours are also not well-reproduced.

The 32 MP selfie camera gives sharp and natural photos during any time of the day. The X2’s bokeh mode blurs the background effectively and captures the edges of a face or an object with accuracy.
Gaming on the X2 is fluid without any lags when playing high-end games such as Call of Duty: Mobile and PUBG Mobile on medium settings.
The 4000mAh battery can easily last for a day if your daily phone usage consists of about two hours of gaming, two hours of watching video content or listening to music and checking social media feeds.
This is one of the better phones under Rs 20,000 with the only dampener being the camera performance in low light. The X2 is a smart buy if you want a good gaming device with a long battery life and fast charging and are not that much bothered about low-light photography. (The writer is with gadgetsnow.com)
