Streaming details of Ramayana Part 1
According to the opening credits of the film's theatrical release, JioHotstar has bagged its digital rights. After completing its theatrical run, the film will be available on the platform through a dedicated on-demand purchase option.Instead of becoming part of JioHotstar's regular subscription catalogue, Ramayana will reportedly be offered through a separate on-demand purchase option. This means that viewers may have to pay an additional amount to access the film, even if they already have an active subscription to the platform.
According to an earlier report by India Today, the arrangement will work on a pay-per-view model. Under this system, audiences can purchase access to the movie separately rather than relying on their existing OTT subscription.
The approach is different from the usual digital release model, where subscribers can watch newly released films as part of their existing plans. As of now, there is no official announcement regarding the digital premiere date of Ramayana. The film has just arrived in cinemas, and the makers are yet to confirm when it will move to the streaming platform.
There is also no information about how much audiences will have to pay to watch the film online.
