Ram Charan's 'RRR', Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa' inspire Ganesha idols, filmy avatars of Vinayaka take over pandals

The country is currently celebrating one of the favourite festivals of India, Ganesh Chaturthi, as many devotees have welcomed the idols of Lord Ganesha to their abode.

Each year, several clay idols of the elephant-headed god are made in different sizes, patterns and styles. And it seems like this year, devotees are down with Allu Arjun's signature hand movement from his super hit film 'Pushpa-The Rise'.

After creating a buzz at the Independence Day Parade in New York, the stylish star Arjun is a hot topic at the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities.


On Tuesday, several images and videos of a Ganpati idol went viral, where the deity can be seen sitting in a white kurta-pyjama similar to how Arjun wore in the film.

The statue also performed Pushpa's signature hand gesture from the film.


Meanwhile, there are also several images of Ganesha idols in the form of Ram Charan’s character from period drama 'RRR'.

The Internet is currently flooded with pictures of idols armed with bow and arrows or dressed in all-white kurta pyjama, fashioned after Charan's role in 'RRR' and Allu Arun's iconic pose from film 'Pushpa: The Rise'. The films have been winning hearts this year.
Well, given the fact that southern films are currently on a winning spree, especially after Covid pandemic hiatus, it is not surprising to see Ganesha idols in such versions. 'Pushpa -The Rise' was the biggest grosser of 2021. Released in five languages, it went on to acquire cult status.

Allu Arjun who has been busy with various brand endorsements will begin shooting for 'Pushpa -The Rule' soon.
