Comic actor Rajpal Yadav has been in the news after surrendering to Tihar Jail in a Rs 9 crore cheque bounce case. He was recently granted interim bail to attend his niece's wedding. The actor opened up about his time in jail, expressing gratitude...

Soon after securing interim bail, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa actor travelled to Shahjahanpur to be with his family for his niece’s wedding. He described the moment as deeply emotional, saying that being surrounded by loved ones after a challenging period brought him immense comfort.
In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Rajpal Yadav and his wife Radha expressed gratitude for the support he received during the crisis. Without naming individuals, he acknowledged the encouragement extended by colleagues, audiences and well-wishers. He said he feels thankful for the goodwill shown to him and added that what mattered most during this phase was the faith people continued to place in him. According to the actor, respect and being heard have always held greater value for him than anything else.
Radha Yadav also spoke about the overwhelming support the family experienced. She shared "Support, when it comes, is received with gratitude..Many people reached out with concern and encouragement. We are thankful for every gesture, whether public or private."
Recalling his days in jail, Rajpal Yadav said the separation from his family was the toughest aspect of the experience. Apart from that, he tried to accept the circumstances and adjust to the routine. He shared, "I would wake up early and focus on breathing exercises and maintaining mental balance.” On the legal front, he says, “This matter has been ongoing for many years. I believed it was right to handle it legally.”
For now, the Bollywood actor says he is focusing on family and positive moments while complying with the court’s directions. As the legal proceedings continue, the actor appears determined to move forward with gratitude and resilience after what he describes as one of the most testing phases of his life.
Following court proceedings, Rajpal Yadav surrendered and served time in Tihar Jail. Earlier this week, the Delhi High Court granted him an interim bail until March 18. Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma directed the actor to furnish a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh along with one surety of the same amount. While granting relief, the court also recorded that Rs 1.5 crore had already been deposited in the respondent’s bank account. Stay tuned!
