Rajinikanth hosts pre-wedding reception for daughter Soundarya; bride & groom glitter in traditional attire

Superstar Rajinikanth's director-daughter Soundarya is all set to tie the knot with actor and businessman Vishagan Vanangamudi on Monday. Celebrations for the couple's D-day kicked off today with a pre-wedding reception in Chennai and pictures from the celebration went viral on social media.
The bride looked elegant in an elegant teal blue and red, Kanjivaram saree. The groom, too, kept it simple and traditional. The couple posed with alongside the 'Robot' actor and his wife, Latha.
According to a Times Now report, the reception was a private affair. The ceremony took place at Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam, and the guest list was restricted to only close friends and family.
On the work front, the director last worked on the Tamil and Telugu film 'Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 (aka) VIP 2' in 2017, starring her brother-in-law Dhanush and Bollywood actress Kajol.
‘Kaala’, Rajinikanth’s latest venture with Pa. Ranjith released today admist controversies, and fanfare - that is common when it comes to the superstar's films.
Produced by Dhanush, the film also stars Nana patekar, Huma Qureshi, and tells the story of a Mumbai slumlord. Set in Dharavi, Rajini as Karikaalan fights politicians for the rights of oppressed Tamils in maximum city.
But this isn't the first time that the superstar has decided to do a film with political undertones and the good-over-evil message.
