Daddy duties: Rajinikanth meets Kamal Haasan, TN Cong Chief Thirunavukkarasar to invite them for daughter Soundarya's wedding

The superstar's daughter will tie the knot on Monday.

Superstar Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya is all set to tie the knot on Monday in Chennai. The 34-year-old confirmed her wedding to businessman and actor Vishagan Vanangamudi on Twitter.

The family has been in celebratory mode, with the Thalaiva personally inviting guests for the wedding.



According to reports, the superstar met Tamil Nadu Congress Chief Thirunavukkarasar to give him the first invitation for the wedding.

The actor also invited President of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi Thol Thirumavalavan.

Talking about his meeting, Rajinikanth said, "Thirunavukarasar has been the main person behind arranging Soundarya's marriage functions. So, I gave the first invitation to him. I will invite a few more people. The political people I am meeting now is only for my daughter's marriage and not for any politically inclined reasons."

The '2.0' actor also met actor turned politician Kamal Haasan in Chennai to invite the Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) founder for the wedding.

Rajinikanth also visited Nadigar Thilagam Shivaji Ganesan's house. Shivaji's grandson, actor Vikram Prabhu shared pictures on Instagram.

The actor also met DMK's President MK Stalin to personally extend an invitation.

Soundarya was earlier married to industrialist Ashwin Ramkumar, but the couple separated in 2016 after being together for 6 years. They share a son, Ved.

Having started her career as a graphic designer, Soundarya has worked in films such as 'Baba', 'Majaa', 'Sandakozhi' and 'Sivaji'.

She made her directorial debut with her father starrer 'Kochadaiiyaan'.
