Celebs are usually not known for being self-aware. However ‘Desi GirlPriyanka Chopra Jonas proved that despite her tremendous success, her feet are still planted firmly on the ground. In a recent interview, the superstar explained that actors are given “too much credit’’ for the success of a movie. She went on to say that movies are a joint affair with everyone from the director to the dialogue writer having a hand in its success.

In an interview with Janice Sequeira, the ‘Barfi’ star said, “We give too much credit to actors; actors do nothing by the way. We really don't. I've always said this. Actors do nothing… Those 30 seconds of a scene, is where I come in. And then when I talk about the movie etc. So I have a very limited role.”

She also highlighted that all the crew involved in making a film from the director to the makeup artist and even the PR professionals who handle the marketing should be credited if a films strikes a chord with the audience. Actors should not monopolise all the credit. “We say out somebody else's words, we are working on a script that is written by someone else, we are lip-syncing and singing songs that are in someone else's voice. We're dancing steps that are choreographed by somebody else. We are doing marketing, where questions are asked by somebody else. We are dressed by somebody, and hair and makeup are done by somebody. So what am I doing?” she was quoted as saying.

The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ star also opened up on how she had learned to work smart not hard over the years. The actress revealed that she had been a workaholic in her 20s but gradually in her 30s she learned to balance professional and personal commitments. “ As I got older, I realised that was absolutely wrong. You burn the candle on both ends, you kind of have to nourish your soul, and that only comes from family, life, and friends. So I learned that in my 30s. I started creating a work-life balance and now I am all about that," the ‘Mary Kom’ star was quoted as saying.

The actress visited India recently to launch her haircare brand.

On the work front, Chopra was last seen in the sci-fi action thriller ‘The Matrix Resurrections’. She will next be seen in her debut web series, Citadel, produced by the Russo Brothers. She also has the highly anticipated Hindi road trip film ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
