'Power of yoga.' Anand Mahindra lauds Swami Sivananda, 125-year-old Padma Shri recipient
The Mahindra boss was impressed by the grace and dignity of Swami Sivananda.

While it is a known fact that yoga replenishes the mind and the body adding to one’s longevity, 125-year-old Swami Sivananda is a living testament to the boundless possibilities of yoga.
The Government of India recently conferred Padma Shri to Sivananda. The 125-year-old yoga guru garnered applause from across the hall. Before accepting the award, Sivananda walked up to the Prime Minister and the President and prostrated before them. The guests present at the ceremony were awestruck by Sivananda’s health and swift movements.
Mahindra Group Chairman, who was stunned and impressed in equal measures, took to Twitter to share his appreciation of the old yoga guru. Anand Mahindra, in his tweet, commended the 125-year-old yoga practitioner saying that his grace and dignity was both humbling and inspiring. The Mahindra boss ended his tweet by saying that he is proud to belong to a country from where Yoga originated.
