The wait is finally over. After four years, Pooja Meri Jaan is finally ready to reach audiences. The thriller, which stars Mrunal Thakur and Huma Qureshi in the lead roles, was completed in 2022 but remained unreleased for a long time. Directed by Navjot Gulati, Pooja Meri Jaan follows the life of Pooja, played by Mrunal Thakur. Her world changes after the death of her lover, Aniket. What initially appears to be a personal tragedy soon leads to a complicated situation involving suspicion, accusations and questions surrounding the people connected to the case.


Mrunal takes on the titular role of Pooja, while Huma Qureshi plays Sana, a lawyer and Pooja’s close friend. Sana becomes involved in the circumstances surrounding Aniket’s death and attempts to navigate the complicated situation.



The story appears to move beyond a straightforward thriller and looks at how people form opinions when faced with an incident they do not fully understand. As suspicion grows, the characters find themselves dealing with the consequences of accusations and assumptions.
