On Thursday, the film's creative director had tweeted that the release had been postponed indefinitely.

Earlier on Thursday, the apex court had agreed to hear the case on Monday. Sandip Ssingh, the movie's creative director and singer, had tweeted that the biopic's release had been postponed indefinitely.

The Opposition hit out at the Government and questioned the timing of the film, coming in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections. The first phase of polling begins on April 11.
However, on Thursday night, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chairman Prasoon Joshi had said that the film body was still assessing the film, and had not yet passed a certificate.
