Pete Lau reveals OnePlus 10 Pro key specs: Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 80W fast charging, 32MP selfie camera

Ahead of the much-awaited launch of the OnePlus 10 Pro, co-founder of the brand Pete Lau has revealed key specifications of the phone.

"The OnePlus 10 Pro is much more than a sum of its parts. But for now, here are the specs," tweeted Lau with a cautionary note that it was not a leak, but official information.

The latest offering from the OnePlus stable will be officially launched in China on January 11. The brand has been teasing tech geeks with images, short-clips in the run-up to the official launch of its latest flagship.


While earlier the brand had revealed that this will be their second collaboration with the Swedish photography company Hasselblad, the new announcement boasts a slew of technical details that will make OnePlus 10 Pro stand out.

Key specifications:

• OnePlus 10 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile platform
• The smartphone will run OxygenOS 12 based on Android 12
• Features a fluid AMOLED display with second-generation LTPO calibration technology, 120Hz refresh rate
• 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS3.1 256GB storage
• Second-generation Hasselblad triple rear camera setup with Dual OIS
• The rear camera module will include a 48MP sensor, a 50MP sensor, and an 8MP sensor
• 32MP front camera ideal for video calls and selfies
• The latest device features a 5,000 mAH battery which supports 80W super VOOC fast charging
• It also supports 50W AirVOOC wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
• Includes support for NFC, VolTE, X-axis Linear Motor haptics
• The device also features dual stereo speakers and Bluetooth 5.2
• The new handset comes in a 163x73.9x8.55mm dimension

Earlier, OnePlus shared a short video revealing the two colour options Volcanic Black and Emerald Forest for the 10 Pro model. The new phones will feature a combination of mirrored ceramic and matte frosted glass.

While the official launch of the OnePlus 10 Pro in India is yet to be known, the brand had announced that it will launch the OnePlus 9RT and Buds Z2 in India on January 14.
