Parineeti-Raghav's engagement: Priyanka Chopra in Delhi, Nick Jonas may not attend ceremony

Global icon Priyanka Chopra is in Delhi for her cousin-actress Parineeti Chopra's engagement with AAP leader Raghav Chadha on Saturday.

The 'Citadel' star - dressed in nude co-ord casual wear - left London and was clicked by shutterbugs at the Delhi airport. She was seen at the VIP area of Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

While she tried to be discreet in a golf cap and dark shades, but caught the attention of the press photographers stationed there.



This time, Chopra's singer-husband Nick Jonas and daughter Malti Marie, with whom she visited India in March for the opening of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, didn't accompany the actress.

Jonas may be giving the ceremony a miss due to work commitments. He is promoting his new album, 'The Album'. However, PeeCee has put her work commitments on hold for her cousin's big day.

According to reports, the actress headed straight for Kapurthala House, where the ceremony are about to take place. Kapurthala House is the official residence of the Governor and Chief Minister of Punjab whenever they are in the city. It was last occupied by Maharaja Paramjit Singh of Kapurthala, who sold it to a businessman named Radheshyam Makhanlal Seksaria in 1950, but it was later requisitioned by the Government of India.

It is believed the festivities will begin at 5 pm. The ceremony will begin with the chanting of the Sukhmani Sahib from the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of the Sikhs, followed by the 'ardas' or the holy prayer. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, his Punjab counterpart, Bhagwant Mann, and some Bollywood personalities are expected to attend.

Ahead of her engagement, Parineeti's apartment in the Bandra was decorated with fairy lights.

The relationship speculations started after Raghav and Parineeti were spotted together on two occasions - in London and Mumbai. Since then, they were clicked together several times - at the airports and outside restaurants.
