‘Pappa gave his time and patience to us all, leaving us better.’ Tina Ambani remembers ‘gentle’ Dhirubhai on his birth anniversary with throwback pics
The ‘Karz’ actress wrote that she misses her father-in-law ‘immeasurably’.

The ‘Karz’ actress wrote that she misses her father-in-law ‘immeasurably’ and called him one of the most ‘magnanimous, gentle and generous people’. She also shared two throwback photos of the founder of Reliance Industries. One of the photos is a family portrait featuring herself, her husband, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Kokilaben Ambani. In the other photo, Dhirubhai is seen sitting with his grandson, Anmol, who is Tina and Anil’s elder son.
In the caption, the 63-year-old former actress paid tribute to her father-in-law. She wrote, “Dhirubhai Ambani was not just a revolutionary man but one of the most magnanimous, gentle and generous people. Pappa gave his time, expertise, patience and learnings to us all, leaving us better, more aware and more in tune with the world around us. Missing him immeasurably, especially in a year when Anmol embarks upon a new chapter in his life.”
Tina married Anil in 1991 and became a part of Dhirubhai’s family. She had, in previous years too, remembered her father-in-law fondly on his birth anniversary. Last year, she shared a picture of her husband with his late father Dhirubhai and in the photo caption she wrote, “There was, is and will be no one like you Pappa.”
She further added that while she and her family miss Dhirubhai ‘immensely’, he will always remain a part of their beings, guiding and watching over them, lighting their paths, and reminding them each day of the possibilities life holds.
