Oppo to launch Reno 4 Mo Salah edition, named after Egyptian footballer who plays for Liverpool FC
The Mo Salah edition Reno 4 is unlikely to be launched in India.

Chinese electronics company Oppo has launched a special Mo Salah edition of its popular Reno 4 smartphone. The device is currently available only in Egypt, the home country of the Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah. The Nagrig-born forward currently plies his trade in England with the reigning English Premier League Champions. He has been Oppo’s brand ambassador in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region since March 2020.
The Mo Salah edition Oppo Reno 4 features a portrait of the footballer on the phone’s back surface. The artwork employs red, white, and black hues – the colours of the Egyptian flag. The phone is available only in one configuration – 8BG RAM, with 128GB storage. It retails for EGP 6,590, which is approximately Rs. 31,000. However, much to the disappointment of Liverpool fans, the Mo Salah edition Reno 4 is unlikely to be launched in India. The Oppo Reno 4 Pro, which did make its way to the Indian market, costs Rs. 34,990 for the variant that offers 8GB RAM and 128GB storage space.
The Mo Salah edition smartphone gets the same features as the regular Oppo Reno 4. The only difference is a custom Mo Salah wallpaper, and red theme. It has two SIM-card slots (nano) and runs Android 10, with Oppo’s custom ColorOS 7.2 on top. As for physical dimensions, the screen measures 6.4 inches, with a screen-to-body ration of 90.7 per cent. The refresh rate is 60Hz and it is mated to a full HD+ AMOLED display unit. Under the hood is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdrago 720G SoC coupled with Qualcomm
It is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC coupled with Qualcomm Adreno 618 GPU, and 8GB RAM. Its quad rear cameras are housed inside a vertically-aligned rectangular camera module at the top left corner. The rear camera setup includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor accompanied by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and finally another 2-megapixel portrait camera. The camera app includes features like panorama, portrait, time-lapse, slow motion, text scanner, Google Lens and more.
For selfies and video calling, there's a 32-megapixel shooter paired with an AI camera. Other features on the Oppo Reno 4 Mo Salah edition include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G, OTG support, and a USB Type-C port charging. It comes with a 4,015mAh battery with support for VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 (30W).
