Morning wellness routines are ever-changing. But now, a quick juice shot was shared by a health expert on social media. This three-ingredient juice shot can help support digestion and immunity. The best thing is its hassle free and quite easy to prepare with ingredients that may be sitting in your pantry. Packed with nutrients, this is a small but powerful drink.

AIIMS-Howard trained gastroenterologist, Dr Saurabh Sethi, recently dropped a video about a nutrient-rich juice shot made using everyday ingredients like carrots, oranges and ginger. He explained that the juice requires whole foods known for their scientifically studied health benefits and can be consumed in small, measured portions as a functional wellness addition.

The first ingredient of the juice is carrots. It is rich in beta-carotene, a nutrient known to support the immune system. The next ingredient is oranges, which are a powerhouse of vitamin C along with beneficial flavonoids. Vitamin C is known to support immune health, help the body fight infections and support skin repair.

The third ingredient in the juice shot is fresh ginger, which contains gingerol. The health expert pointed out that gingerol supports digestion. After all, ginger is known for its anti-inflammatory and gut-friendly properties. It has also been long used in traditional and modern nutrition practices to help reduce bloating and improve digestive comfort, making it a natural addition to this combination.

Recipe to make the juice shot

Further in the video, he shared a quick preparation method for the juice shot. The recipe needs two medium-sized carrots, an orange and about an inch of ginger. You can either juice it together or blend it with a bit of water and then sieve it. He suggested that the juice will be about 3-4 small servings, each measuring about 30-50 ml. The Harvard-trained doctor added that its important to remember the portion sizes since juicing removes the natural fibre content of the ingredients.
