OnePlus to unveil 2 smartphones, TWS earphones on April 28. What to expect

OnePlus is gearing up for its next big launch. The brand has been creating waves in the tech world with back-to-back launches of smartphones and accessories this year.

While earlier OnePlus was contained to a set price range, however, over the years the brand has evolved into a smartphone company that offers an array of smartphones in various price categories.

On April 28, OnePlus is coming out with two brand new devices - the OnePlus 10 R and the OnePlus Nord CE 2. The OnePlus 10R is a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace to be released in the Chinese market on April 21, while the OnePlus Nord CE2 is a successor to the Nord CE that was launched in June 2021.


OnePlus 10R: Expected Specifications

• The device is likely to sport a 6.7-inch FullHD AMOLED display with a refresh rate up to 120Hz
• Display to have HDR10+ with Corning Gorilla Glass 5
• The device may come with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage
• Rear camera module may sport a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera, 16MP selfie camera
• 150W charging support on a 4500mAh battery
• Optional 80W charging with the 5000mAh battery variant

OnePlus Nord CE2: Expected Specifications

• Device to run on Android 11-based Oxygen OS 11
• To feature a 6.58-inch Full HD+ display
• May offer 90Hz refresh rate support
• Snapdragon 695 SoC with up to 8GB of RAM
• 5000 mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging
• 64MP triple-rear camera module with 2MP macro and 2MP monochrome camera

According to reports, the OnePlus Nord CE2 is likely to be priced under Rs 20,000 in India. The brand has also announced its first-ever accessories in the OnePlus Nord series, the OnePlus Nord Buds. The earphones will sport 12.4mm, ultra-large drivers, with USB Type-C and 30 hours of battery life. The OnePlus Nord Buds is likely to come with Dolby Atmos, Bluetooth 5.2, 480mAh case/41mAh individual buds. The earbuds will be available in Moonlight White and Twilight Black colour options.
