OnePlus to launch Nord CE smartphone, new TV in U Series on June 10

OnePlus is all set to launch a new smartphone in its Nord series. The tech company will introduce the OnePlus Nord CE on June 10.

The company announced the news in a tweet on its official handle, "Introducing the OnePlus Nord CE 5G. The CE stands for Core Edition, and 5G stands for, well… 5G. In short – we took the core features you love about OnePlus Nord, then added some unexpected extras, simply because we could."



This announcement was followed by the date and time of the launch in another tweet.

"Say hi to the #OnePlusNordCE5G – the newest addition to the Nord universe – at the OnePlus Summer Launch Event on Thursday, June 10, 7pm onwards."


The phone is rumored to be priced lower than the OnePlus Nord.

The company will also introduce a new TV in its U series on June 10 which will be manufactured in India.


"While building on current product offerings and strengthening capabilities, OnePlus will also expand its TWS offerings this year," news agency IANS reported OnePlus founder Pete Lau as saying.

"Nord CE will be a product that is focused on delivering the core excellent features needed in a device while also bringing the signature Nord experience to users," Lau added as per IANS.

As per the news agency, OnePlus has witnessed 200 per cent (year-on-year) growth for its Nord series since its launch in July 2020. According to Counterpoint Research, the company grew more than 300 per cent YoY for Q1 2021 in India, driven by the OnePlus Nord and OnePlus 8T shipments.

OnePlus company launched its smartwatch and smartband earlier this year.
