On Dharmendra's 85th birthday, Hema Malini shares secret to a happy, married life

NEW DELHI: Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra turned 85 on Tuesday, and his actress-wife Hema Malini decided to share a heart-warming post, thanking all their fans.

In a Twitter post, alongside images from the '70s and the present day, the Dream Girl said that their fans' love and support has kept them together for years.

"It is the love and affection of fans who still watch and appreciate our movies that we remain fresh in their memories, This is what keeps us going and we need your blessings for this togetherness to last," her post read.



The 72-year-old BJP MP from Mathura also thanked the fans for their love and wishes on her husband's 85th birthday. The post was retweeted 118 times, and liked by 3,000 people at the time of writing this.

In a separate tweet, Malini wrote, "Yesteryear and now. Your respect, blessings and love have kept us together all these years."


Birthday wishes also poured in from the family. Bobby Deol, Dharmendra's second son from his first wife, Prakash Kaur, was one of the first to wish the yesteryear heart-throb.

Actor-turned-politician Sunny Deol's son, Karan, also took to the microblogging site to wish his grandfather. He also posted two pictures.


Dharmendra's eldest daughter from Malini, Esha, also shared an adorable picture, wishing her father.
