The owners can also make a few changes, like increasing or decreasing a specific substance. It is better to minimise treats during this season as it contributes to the weight.
With all the feasting going around, our furry friend’s noses are in overdrive. A bite here, a morsel there might seem like you’re sharing the cheer with them, but these little bites can add up.

Dr. Sujit Paul, Founder, Woofwoofnow: Global Pet Consulting, says, “Both humans and animals tend to gain a few extra pounds during the winter season. A few simple tips can help the pet family to avoid weight gain of their pets.” Read on:

1. This seasonal weight gain is caused due to lack of exercise, festive food and excessive calorie consumption. It is the liability of the owners to regulate and moderate the weight gain in their pets. Everyone wants to snuggle with their favourite snack and books. The pets are no exception to this rule.

However, it might have a negative impact on their well-being in the future. So pet owners should think of their pet and themselves in keeping each other fit. In this weather they should think of doing DOGA: Dog Yoga (It is the practice of yoga as exercise with pet dogs) with their pets.

The long walks and outdoors games might not be possible during the winter. However, the pet owner can devise some indoor activities to keep them active.
