Not just $5-trillion, but India can achieve $10-trillion target, says Gopichand Hinduja

Gopichand Hinduja said that India is not just capable of achieving the benchmark, but is also strong enough to breach it.
Gopichand Hinduja, co-chairman of the Hinduja Group, recently opened up about India's mega goal of becoming a $5 trillion economy. Speaking at the India Economic Conclave in Mumbai, the top boss revealed that India is not only capable of achieving the benchmark, but is also strong enough to breach it.

What will it take for India’s economy to hit the $5-trillion mark?
“Today, whether it is the USA, the UK, Europe or Africa, you will find a lot of successful Indians. What is the reason? If they could be successful abroad then why not in India? In India also, each Indian can flourish and take this $5-trillion target to $10 trillion. Then why are we aiming at $5 trillion? There is a lot that is achievable, but there are steps that we can take. I am not an economist. I am not an educated person. But our founder taught us one thing: How to make sure that we have basic education and know how to face all difficulties in life. When you find any obstacles in life, don’t get worried. Treat them not as stopping stones, but as stepping stones.”

“Professionally, I want to go deeper into Artificial Intelligence (AI). I don’t know much about the subject. So, I will be spending a lot of time reading on it. I will be dabbling in articles on AI and coding sites on the internet. There are many DIY websites too that I am going to log in to learn about regression analysis using the AI model.”

My startup is about simplifying global travel. I will be reading on how blockchain or any other technology can be used to make crossing borders easier for travellers.

“Personally, I want to travel with my wife, three-and-a-half-year-old daughter and my dog. While I travel quite a bit with my dog domestically, Croatia is on top of the list to visit with my wife and daughter. It has beaches, hills, interesting culture, and great beer. It will pack in all for a good family trip.”.
