Kapoor's dietician recently opened up on how to cure digestive issues after a holiday
Holidays often mess up our digestive system. People often let themselves go on vacations and binge on fast foods or indulge in a drinking spree. Developing digestive problems post holiday high is quite common. Recently, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar shared on instagram on how to get your digestive system back on track after a holiday.

She stated that people often experience stool problems - constipation or loose motion after overindulging on vacations and shared five tips to heal your gut.

Eat Gawar Bhaji Beans For Lunch

Gawar bhaji is basically cluster beans. She stated that this vegetable can rest your digestion. It is rich in amino acids, fibre and antioxidants like vitamin C that can boost your energy levels

Start Working Out

She also urged people to start an easy workout regimen. Avoid too intense exercises, but workout regularly. This can include a light walk, some basic weight training, a beginner’s yoga class etc. The purpose is to get yourself moving again.

Get Fruity

Diwekar suggested snacking on local fruits when you are hit with hunger pangs such as mulberries, pears, guavas, white jaam etc.

Drink More Water

Diwekar urged her followers to drink as much water as possible. Instead of overindulging in tea or coffee, she advised people to drink sherbets and aam panas, to infuse electrolytes in your system.

Have A Millet Meal

For those experiencing stool problems, they should have a millet meal for snack between 4:00 to 6:00 pm. This can be a ragi dosa, millet upma with curd. Within two days your digestive system will be rebooted.
