According to Dr Chhajer, the magic lies in eating well, but wisely. He claims that the idea is to fill the stomach with low-calorie, high-volume foods. This approach, according to him, helps you naturally stay in a calorie deficit while keeping hunger pangs at bay. The plan centres around fruits, vegetables, soups, and dal — foods that nourish without overloading your body with calories.
What does the jaadu diet look like?
The daily structure is straightforward and inexpensive. Start the day with black tea and plenty of fruits to boost metabolism. For lunch, combine protein-rich dals like moong or masoor with raw vegetables such as cucumber, beetroot, and carrot. Dinner includes a warm soup paired with salad and boiled vegetables — satisfying and wholesome.
He said that this is not a "forever plan", but just for sometime. “But even in three months, you could lose 10–20 kg", he added. He cited the case of a patient in Kolkata who went from 86 kg to 62 kg using this method — no gym, no supplements, just food done right.
