A man revealed how he lost more than 30 kgs in 7 months
A Reddit user who once tipped the scales at over 100 kilograms has shared an extraordinary account of personal transformation, explaining how he shed an incredible 34 kilos in just seven months by relying solely on running. Posting his story on the Fitness India subreddit, he reflected on a journey that began with years of silent struggle and poor health, eventually turning into a powerful testament to discipline and self-belief.

He recalled that during his school days, especially in Class 10, he was known as the overweight student. While classmates did not openly ridicule him, he could sense their pity, which weighed heavily on his confidence. By the time his board examinations arrived, his physical condition had deteriorated to an alarming level. He described that phase as the lowest point of his health, when even basic movement felt exhausting and motivation was almost nonexistent.

Everything changed after he completed Class 10. Determined to reclaim control over his body, he made a simple but life-altering decision to start jogging and walking around a nearby lake. In the beginning, his routine was modest. He would alternate between running and walking, covering a distance of about two kilometres in roughly twenty minutes. There were no complicated fitness plans, expensive equipment, or gym memberships, just consistency and the willingness to show up every day.

Over the next seven months, that basic habit evolved into a rigorous running schedule. Through sheer persistence, he managed to lose 34 kilograms, a result he credited entirely to running. His endurance and speed improved dramatically, and the transformation soon extended beyond weight loss. Recently, he participated in a 10-kilometre race and achieved a personal best finish time of under 50 minutes. Out of 1,600 participants, he secured the 38th position, a feat he said his former self would never have imagined possible.

In the comments section, he revealed that his commitment had grown intense, with his weekly running mileage averaging between 40 and 50 kilometres. For him, the journey was not just about physical change but also about rewriting the narrative he once believed about his own limitations. His story stands as a reminder that steady effort, even when it begins with small steps, can lead to outcomes that once seemed completely out of reach.
