It's new beginnings for Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann!
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader will be exchanging wedding vows as per Sikh rituals on Thursday with Dr Gurpreet Kaur, who belongs to Pehowa in Haryana's Kurukshetra.
According to news agency ANI, the former 2-time Sangrur Lok Sabha MP will marry Dr Kaur in a close private ceremony at his house in Chandigarh. Only family members, including Mann's mother, sister, relatives and a few guests will attend the wedding, sources told PTI. His Delhi counterpart & AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to attend the wedding and bless the couple. AAP senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha is aso in the city for the function.

Dr Kaur did her MBBS from a private university in Haryana four years ago. She had enrolled for MBBS in 2013 and completed that in 2018.
Mann's previous marriage to Inderpreet Kaur - who accompanied him during his Lok Sabha campaign in 2014 - ended in a divorce in 2016. He has two children with her who live in the US with his ex-wife.

The 43-year-old CM, who has dabbled in comedy and was a fixture on national television in a few shows, made his political debut in 2011 when he joined the People's Party of Punjab. The following year, contested the Assembly elections in the Lehra constituency but failed to make a mark. In March 2014, Mann signed up with AAP on a Lok Sabha ticket from Sangrur. He fought his first Lok Sabha election against former union minister Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and won by 211,721 votes.
The AAP stormed to power in Punjab earlier this year after it bagged 92 of the 117 seats in the Assembly.
