NCB questions Sushant Singh Rajput's 2 former members of staff - Neeraj and Keshav

MUMBAI: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Sunday questioned two of Sushant Singh Rajput's former domestic workers help in a drugs case linked to the Bollywood actor's death last year. The agency had issued summons to Neeraj and Keshav for questioning.

The NCB official said that the duo came on NCB's radar after SSR's flatmate and friend Siddharth Pithani was arrested from Hyderabad on Friday.

In a statement to PTI, the official said, "we located the duo and brought them to the office for questioning. They are still at the office."


Pithani was produced in a special court in Mumbai before a Chief Metropolitan Magistrate which sent him in the NCB custody till June 1.

Pithani was arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and a local court granted the NCB his 'transit remand', allowing the agency to take him to Mumbai.

The NCB began a separate probe when some WhatsApp chats of the late actor indicated drug use.

After his alleged role in drug procurement came to light, Pithani was issued notices under NDPS Act earlier, asking him to join the investigation, but he did not respond.

Rajput's former girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, and the actor's staff members Samuel Miranda and Deepesh Sawant were arrested in the drug case last year and later got bail.

According to his statement to Mumbai Police, Pithani was staying with Rajput at his Bandra apartment and was among the first to see the actor's hanging body when Rajput (34) allegedly committed suicide on June 14, 2020.

Pithani used to work with a graphic design agency as a creative director in 2017. He came in contact with Rajput through the actor's friend Ayush Sharma. Pithani came to Mumbai in April 2019, and since then, he started staying with Rajput. He was also working on the late actor's project 'Dreams 150'.

After Rajput's alleged suicide, Pithani's statement was recorded by Mumbai Police, the Enforcement Directorate, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the NCB in related cases.
