The development comes after the NCB joined the probe into the late actor's death on Wednesday
In a fresh development in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has revealed that Rhea Chakraborty, with whom the actor was in a relationship at the time of his death, was using his funds to procure drugs.

According to a report in Times Now, the NCB has said that Chakraborty was using Rajput's funds for her 'own purpose'. The investigative agency has disclosed that the conversation between the 'Jalebi' actress and Rajput's caretaker, Samuel Miranda, revealed that the two were working 'in close coordination' and using the 'Kedarnath' actor's funds.

The development comes after the NCB joined the probe into the late actor's death on Wednesday. The Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is investigating the money-laundering angle, had forwarded some evidence to the NCB about Chakraborty’s alleged links to banned drugs.

Earlier on Wednesday Times Now reported that the ED had shared WhatsApp chats of Chakraborty, in which she allegedly talks about drugs, with the NCB.

Meanwhile, Chakraborty's lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, has refuted the claims and said that she is 'ready for a blood test'. "Rhea has never consumed drugs in her life ever. She is ready for a blood test," the lawyer said.

So far, the ED has grilled Chakraborty twice, following an FIR registered by Rajput's father KK Singh at the Patna police station on July 25. Apart from Rhea, her father Indrajit, mother Sandhya, brother Showik, Rajput’s manager Samuel Miranda and Shruti Modi, and unknown persons have been named in the Bihar Police FIR and accused of cheating and abetting the actor’s suicide.

On August 19, the Supreme Court had ordered a CBI probe and dismissed Chakraborty's plea seeking transfer of the FIR from Patna to Mumbai. The CBI team had arrived in Mumbai on August 20 and has so far questioned Rajput's flatmate Siddharth Pithani, cook Neeraj Singh and caretaker Dipesh Sawant.
