Model Sahara Ray’s final social media post has taken on a heartbreaking significance following her death at the age of 34. In July, she shared a series of photographs of her young daughter, Snow, describing the little girl as her “whole heart”. The images showed Snow smiling at the camera in different outfits, offering a glimpse into the bond the mother and daughter shared. Ray’s family has since confirmed her death, while her mother has paid tribute to the model and the love she had for her family.

Ray’s last known social media post featured three photographs of Snow, who appeared in a series of outfits, including a pale blue dress and a turquoise-coloured onesie paired with a matching bow. Sharing the pictures in July, the model captioned them, “My whole heart �� baby Snow.”

Sahara Ray’s family confirms her death

Ray’s family confirmed her death in a statement to TMZ, saying she had passed away the previous night while surrounded by relatives at the hospital. They also remembered her as someone who was deeply loved. Her mother, Gretchen Bach, paid tribute to her daughter in a statement to the Daily Mail, describing Sahara as an exceptionally passionate and kind young woman. Bach said Ray loved her family, fashion, her daughter Snow and surfing.


Her cause of death has not been confirmed.

Who is Sahara Ray?

Sahara Ray was a model, born in Australia, however, she grew up between California and Hawaii. She spent much of her time here because, her father, Tony Ray, was a professional surfer. As she grew up aroung the ocean and surfing, she became interested in swimwear and fashion. As per E! News, she studied at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles befor her ventured into the career of modelling and launching her own swimwear brand.

The influencer also has 899k followers and often used to share glimpses of her modelling pictures, swimwear designs and daily life, which also includes her little daughter, Snow.

She made headlines in 2016 after pictures of her holiday with Justin Bieber in Hawaii went viral. She was also previously linked to Australian singer Cody Simpson. Ray is the daughter of Australian surfer Tony Ray and spent much of her childhood travelling between Australia, California and Hawaii. In 2024, she opened up about her battle with a rare neurological disorder called Guillain-Barré syndrome. It left her partially paralysed after a serious car accident.
