Lottie Moss remembers her friendship with Sahara Ray

Lottie Moss, 28, paid tribute to Ray on Monday on social media. She admitted that she wished she had replied to Sahara's last message and returned the call. She recalled how they had shared several memorable years together and created happy memories, even though their bond eventually broke down.

Moss furhter added that the duo had met each other at a time when both were struggling to understand themselves. She continued that perhaps they had ofund comfort in each other and remember Sahara as someone with an infectious energy who used to leave a lasting impression in just one meeting.


The tribute came years after their friendship became the subject of a public dispute. Ray accused Moss of drug use during an Instagram feud in 2023, prompting Moss to describe her former friend as “a very sick girl”. In her latest message, Moss put their differences aside to remember the happier moments they had shared, signing off with an emotional goodbye.

Sahara Ray’s battle with Guillain-Barré syndrome

Ray had previously talked about her health struggles after she was reportedly in an accident in 2024. In one of the social media updates, she had once revealed that she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome, which left her paralysed from her upper thighs down to her feet and she could not walk. The model later documented parts of her recovery journey with her followers. Earlier this year, she welcomed her daughter, Snow.

Sahara Ray’s family confirms her death

Ray’s family confirmed her death in a statement to TMZ, saying she had passed away the previous night while surrounded by family at the hospital. They added that she was deeply loved. Her mother, Gretchen Bach, also paid tribute to her daughter in a statement to the Daily Mail. She described Ray as a passionate and kind young woman who loved her family, fashion, Snow and surfing.

Bach also expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from Ray’s friends, fans and the many communities around the world that she had been part of.
