There’s no such thing as being too old for an internship. A Mumbai-based entrepreneur’s video recently went viral on Instagram after he revealed that he hired a 64-year-old intern for his startup.

The video was posted on Instagram by Joshua Salins, providing viewers with a look at the 64-year-old intern as he engaged with colleagues in the workplace. The footage captured him conversing with younger employees, who appeared fully attentive and interested as they listened to his thoughts and experiences.


Through the caption, Salins explained that the intern has extensive knowledge about building and scaling companies. He also been a driving force in shaping culture in the organisation and motivating team members when they feel low.

When asked by Instagram users why he hired the man, he explained that despite his age, the man wanted to be professionally active and share his knowledge with the team.

Reacting to the video, one viewer responded by saying that their mother also possessed a vast amount of knowledge and experience despite being at home, and expressed hope that she could be given a similar opportunity, believing she would be delighted to join such a workplace.
