The makers have now confirmed that Mrithyunjay will make its digital debut on Netflix. As per details listed on the streaming platform, the film is scheduled to start streaming from April 3, 2026. The OTT release is expected to help the film reach a wider audience, especially viewers who prefer watching content at home or were unable to catch it during its theatrical run.Mrithyunjay follows the story of Jai, played by Sree Vishnu, a young man working in the marketing department of a newspaper office. Despite his job, Jai dreams of becoming a reporter and is deeply interested in real-life incidents and investigations. His curiosity leads him into trouble when he begins to look into a series of suspicious deaths that initially appear to be accidents.
The turning point comes when Jai meets a young girl who is unable to smile after losing her father under mysterious circumstances. As he digs deeper into the case, another similar death occurs, raising his suspicions further. Convinced that there is more to the incidents than what meets the eye, Jai approaches ACP Seetha Parushuram for help. However, she dismisses his claims, forcing him to continue the investigation on his own.
