Strong jump on the second Saturday
The film recorded close to 50 per cent growth on its second Saturday, indicating that audience interest remains steady even after the initial opening week. Within ten days of its release, Dhurandhar 2 has crossed the Rs 1,200 crore mark at the global box office, a milestone achieved by only a handful of Hindi films. According to trade portal Sacnilk, the film’s worldwide gross currently stands at approximately Rs 1,226 crore. Of this, about Rs 930.44 crore (gross) has come from India, while overseas markets have contributed nearly Rs 296 crore. Domestically, the film has amassed around Rs 778.77 crore in net collections across more than 2.13 lakh shows, showing its wide theatrical reach and strong screen presence across the country.
Besides this, Dhurandhar 2 has already overtaken the lifetime net collections of Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, which was previously considered a modern benchmark for Hindi cinema’s box office potential. The film is now steadily closing the gap with Jawan, another blockbuster that set new records upon release.
If the current momentum continues through the coming week and weekend, trade experts believe the film could challenge some of the highest lifetime collections ever recorded for a Hindi film.
More about Dhurandhar 2: Plot and cast
The film’s plot revolves around an undercover Indian intelligence agent who infiltrates criminal syndicates and political circles in Karachi. His mission is driven by a personal quest for justice linked to the 2008 Mumbai attacks, while he simultaneously uncovers a larger conspiracy that threatens national security. Dhurandhar 2 was filmed back-to-back with its first instalment, allowing the makers to maintain continuity in story and scale. Principal photography began in July 2024 in Thailand and wrapped up in October 2025. The film was shot across several Indian locations including Punjab, Chandigarh, Maharashtra, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh, in addition to international schedules in Bangkok.
The film’s success has also been driven by its star-studded cast and high production values. Ranveer Singh’s intense performance in the lead role has been widely discussed on social media, while the presence of seasoned actors like Sanjay Dutt and R. Madhavan has added to the film’s mass and critical appeal.
Despite early signs of a natural weekday slowdown, the film’s weekend trends indicate that it still has strong legs at the box office. Stay tuned1
