Moto G (Gen 2) goes cheaper in India
NEW DELHI: The second-generation Moto G smartphone has received a price cut in the Indian market.

Flipkart, which is the exclusive retailer of Motorola smartphones in the country, now lists Moto G (Gen 2) at Rs 9,999. This makes the smartphone cheaper by Rs 1,000, since its price was reduced in April this year to Rs 10,999. Motorola had launched Moto G (Gen 2) in September last year at Rs 12,999.

This price cut may suggest that Motorola is close to releasing the third-generation model of Moto G series. There have been several leaks recently about the upcoming Moto G handset, and the smartphone was even listed on Flipkart in May, but the listing was taken down soon.

Moto G (Gen 2) has a 5-inch HD screen, front-facing speakers, microSD card support and 8MP rear camera. It shares features like Android 5.0 (Lollipop), 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM, 2,070mAh battery and connectivity suite with its predecessor.
