Moelis India boss Manisha Girotra puts workplace diversity in perspective, stresses on empathy
Girotra says that movements like #MeToo have helped increase awareness.

“Just recently someone told me that if you are in the US, and if I give you my CV, you can’t even see my age on it. Forget about [a mention of the] gender. It’s just your [applicant’s] name,” Girotra said. That ’s the level of awareness and empathy that one should have, according to her. Girotra asks a pertinent question: Why should the applicant’s age or gender be any criteria in deciding if organisations would like to call someone for an interview?
