Mi Air Purifier 3 review: Go, clean up with this affordable purifier

Xiaomi has launched the feature-rich Mi Air Purifier 3 to improve ambient air quality. Priced at Rs 9,999, it is an affordable option. The Mi Air Purifier 3 sports a tall, slim box-like design, and resembles the Mi Air Purifier 2S.Its top houses a circular grille with a see-through fan.

The physical controls have been replaced with a circular touchscreen OLED panel, through which one can easily switch modes.

The small display shows AQI and humidity levels as well as ambient temperature. It has an easy-toremove back panel with the filter assembly inside. The Mi Air Purifier 3 comes with a HEPA Class 13 filter which promises to remove 99.97% dust, mould, pollen, bacteria and airborne particles of 0.3 microns.


It is also capable of removing foul odour. The air purifier can be controlled with the help of the Mi Home app. It also offers Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa support. The app posts updates on the AQI level and easily connects a smartphone to the purifier. On testing, the purifier managed to clean the air within 48 minutes.

There are multiple fan settings, including Auto mode. For best results, the doors and windows must be closed while using the air purifier. The Mi Air Purifier 3 has a threestage filtration process, which quickly cleans ambient air.
