NEW DELHI: #MeToo controversy is back, and now it has managed to hit director-choreographer Farah Khan.

The 54-year-old film-maker, who hosted a lavish lunch for 18 of her celebrity friends on Sunday, shared an image on Instagram. The guest list included Hrithik Roshan, Sania Mirza, Kriti Sanon, Aditi Rao Hydari, Diana Penty, Patralekhaa, Bhumi Pednekar, Sonu Sood, Ayush Sharma, Maniesh Paul, Punit Malhotra, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, Rohini Iyer and Mukesh Chhabra.

While it was a sunny Sunday at Khan's residence, presence of one celebrity didn't do well with her fans. Her followers on Twitter and Instagram slammed her for hanging out with 'Super 30' director Vikas Bahl, who was cleared of sexual assault charges last month.

Last month, Vikas Bahl was given a clean chit by the Internal Complaints Committee of Reliance Entertainment.

Khan also took to Twitter to appreciate Bahl for an epic comeback with his new flick. Some fans accused her of supporting the director because her brother Sajid Khan was also accused of sexual harassment by three women, namely actor Rachel White, assistant director Saloni Chopra and journalist Karishma Upadhyay. The three had opened up about their heart-wrenching ordeals on their respective social media handles.

The 48-year-old Bahl, who shot to fame after directing the Kangana Ranaut-starrer 'Queen', was accused of sexual harassment by a woman during a trip to Goa in 2015. Ranaut, as well as Bahl's then-partners from Phantom Films - Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane - also spoke of his alleged misconduct. The production house was dissolved last year following the allegations.

Last month, Bahl was given a clean chit by the Internal Complaints Committee of Reliance Entertainment which probed the allegation of sexual misconduct made against him by a former employee of Phantom Films.
