Masks are still important, reminds Google with an adorable doodle

On Monday, India recorded an all-time high of 1,03,558 single day new coronavirus infections in a span of 24 hours, while the death toll increased to 1,65,547 with 446 daily new fatalities on Tuesday.
The alarming rise in number of cases pushed Google to remind people that 'masks are still important' to save lives.
The animated doodle shows the colourful letters spelling out Google wear printed masks, and maintaining social distancing.

Once clicked on the doodle, it directs to 'covid-19 prevention' Google search page, highlighting the public advisory by World Health Organization (WHO). "Wear a face cover. Wash your hands. Keep a safe distance", it read.
As COVID-19 continues to impact communities around the world, the California-based company took it up on itself to help stop the spread with some crucial steps.
Emphasising on the need to follow advice by local health authority, Google said that being informed and taking appropriate precautions are the first step to protect oneself.
Important tips to prevent the spread of Covid:
- Clean hands often with soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub
- Maintain a safe distance
- Wear a mask when physical distancing is not possible
- Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth
- Cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze
- Stay home if you feel unwell
- If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention
